In the 12 months leading up to March 2021, nearly half of the respondents rearranged their living spaces in their homes. During the period of lighter restrictions in commercial activities, physical furniture stores saw a quick return of customers and higher conversion rates in terms of purchases, as reported by the Retail Institute and payment card data, while online sales were a driving force for the interior design industry throughout the whole year. However, this does not mean that the current year will be faced with saturated demand. While the previous year favored the purchase of furniture related to work and studying, 2021 will favor those related to relaxation and those that Poles are accustomed to purchasing in physical stores.
