Construction sector in Poland – regional analysis [update]

Work is underway on the quarterly update of data for the report “Construction sector in Poland – regional analysis”, which will be published on December 8 [Polish version: November 23].

Although the ranking of provinces in terms of the size of the construction market has not undergone major changes, it is worth noting the shifts in the shares within the group of the largest provinces. Currently, the top five leading regions generate over 53% of the value of the Polish construction market.

Among the leading provinces, the advancement of the Pomeranian region is particularly noticeable, where the coming years will bring further increases in infrastructure investments related to the implementation of offshore wind energy projects and port investments. Around 2026, we expect a significant impact of activities related to the implementation of the first nuclear power plant in Poland in Lubiatowo. Strong growth is also anticipated in the West Pomeranian province (similarly to the Pomeranian region, influenced by offshore projects) and in the Greater Poland province, where the implementation of an investment related to a nuclear power plant in Pątnów will commence from 2027.

In the update, we have also presented the latest data from the macroeconomic environment and forecasts for the development of the market in three scenarios:

  1. The baseline, the most probable market development forecast,
  2. Pessimistic,
  3. Optimistic.
