Analysis of the cost of treating the most common diseases in Poland

Objective of project

Our longstanding client, one of the leading global providers of insurance and retirement products, was seeking data on the costs of treating diseases with the highest likelihood of occurrence in Poland. They were primarily interested in the patient’s perspective. The analysis also aimed to cover information on rare diseases, for which patients in Poland often allocate very high sums for treatment.

Project details

PMR consultants completed the project using both secondary and primary sources. The rapid execution was possible due to their extensive experience in the healthcare sector, which resulted in a deep understanding of information sources and the mechanisms of the healthcare system.

However, due to the lack of open sources of information on the costs incurred by patients, PMR researchers conducted a series of in-depth expert interviews with representatives of patient organizations and physicians.

Project results

In a short period of time, our client received a concise and easily digestible synthesis of information on the costs of treatment in Poland, along with insights from experienced analysts.

The report prepared was used by the client for the publication of a publicly available report and for other marketing and sales purposes.
